Two weeks after the disappearance of their mother, the friends of Nicola Bulley have renewed their call for assistance

Two weeks after the disappearance of Nicola Bulley, the mother of two’s friends will assemble to urge any potential witnesses to come forward. 45-year-old Ms. Bulley was last seen on January 27 during a riverside dog walk in St. Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire. Police believe she may have fallen into the river.

Since her disappearance, search and rescue efforts have been ongoing, with a rescue boat spotted conducting sweeps where the River Wyre meets the Irish Sea, approximately 10 miles (16 kilometres) downstream from St. Michael’s on Wyre. Divers have searched the River Wyre. The search area has been expanded to include Morecambe Bay and Knott End.

Ms. Bulley is known to have dropped off her six- and nine-year-old daughters at school before walking Willow, her springer spaniel, along the River Wyre. Her phone, still connected to a Teams call, was discovered on a bench along a riverbank with a view of the water, along with the dog leash and harness.

Ms. Bulley was not the victim of a crime, according to Lancashire Police, but detectives remain “open-minded” to any information regarding her whereabouts or what happened to her. The police have also issued two dispersal orders to break up groups that are causing a disturbance in the St. Michael’s on Wyre area.

As the search for Ms. Bulley continues, her friends are appealing to any potential witnesses to help solve the case. In the meantime, the police are monitoring social media for “grossly offensive” comments and may pursue legal action against the perpetrators.
