Coventry firefighters worked through the night to contain a massive fire at an office building and warehouse.
At 17:43 GMT on Wednesday, numerous 999 calls were received regarding a’significant’ fire in the Walsgrave neighbourhood of the city. The Staffordshire and West Midlands Fire Services dispatched over seventy firefighters to Olivier Way.
The two-story structure was engulfed in flames, prompting local residents and employees to close their doors and windows as a precaution. While crews worked to extinguish the fire, surrounding roads were also closed for safety reasons.
The warehouse portion of the building is believed to be where the fire started, but the cause is currently unknown. Local firefighters are still battling the fire and attempting to contain it at the time of writing.
No casualties have been reported as a result of the fire, and no additional information is currently available.
