Queen Camilla, wife of King Charles and Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, has tested positive for Covid-19. Buckingham Palace has confirmed the news in a statement.
Due to what was initially believed to be a’seasonal illness,’ the 75-year-old Queen Consort was scheduled to cancel her visit to the West Midlands on Tuesday. However, she has since tested positive for Covid-19, confirming her infection.
According to a royal source, Queen Camilla is currently experiencing cold-like symptoms but is in good spirits and resting. In addition, it is believed that the Queen Consort has had Covid before and is fully immunised.
This week, the King’s engagements have not been altered, and he will continue with his scheduled appearances.
As the United Kingdom continues to combat the pandemic, Buckingham Palace has urged the public to exercise extra caution and take all necessary precautions. Additionally, they have requested that the privacy of the Queen Consort be respected during this time.
