A horrific find was made in Hugglescote, Leicestershire, on Friday morning. David Bettison, 43, was discovered fatally injured in a park off Ashburton Road, and a woman in her 20s was discovered with non-fatal injuries.
Kyle Morley, 29, has been charged with the murder of Mr. Bettison and the attempted murder of the woman, according to the Leicestershire Police. Mr. Morley is reported to be from neighbouring Coalville. Later today, he is scheduled to appear in Leicester Magistrates’ Court.
The police have blocked off the park while they investigate the crime scene. The cordon has been removed after a thorough assessment of the area.
Anybody who witnessed or heard anything strange in the vicinity in the early hours of Friday morning is urged to contact the Leicestershire Police. In addition, they are requesting any Surveillance footage from the area.
