On Monday afternoon in Crawley, West Sussex, an 18-year-old man was discovered with life-threatening injuries; he died at the scene.
Two suspects, a 17-year-old boy from Worthing and an 18-year-old man from Horsham, have been arrested on murder charges. In addition, a Crawley woman, age 18, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting a criminal.
According to the police, this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community as a whole.
Det Ch Insp Debbie White stated, “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family during this difficult time, and we are determined to find and bring to justice those responsible for this heinous crime.”
After the incident, officers conducted a thorough search of the area with the assistance of a National Police Air Service helicopter. Police are now appealing for any information that may help their investigation.
The incident occurred on Malthouse Road in Crawley, close to a train station. At the scene, where police remained on Tuesday morning, tents were erected.
